I offer psychodynamic therapy for individuals on an ongoing basis in person or via telehealth. I am licensed in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
I have found it best to work immersively (more than one time per week) with a smaller number of patients. Frequency of treatment does not necessarily correlate to the acuity of a patient’s suffering; all people can benefit from more frequent treatment for different reasons.
In order to ensure the highest quality of care, I pursue ongoing education and training, consult weekly with a psychoanalyst for a second opinion and – as is customary in the psychoanalytic community – have examined my own mind thoroughly in my own immersive treatment. This allows me to create a supportive, open environment which mitigates the risk of my own feelings or reactions interfering with a patient’s sense of safety or ability to make progress.
